Build Your Emergency Service from the Ground Up

Blue Lights is an idle management game inspired by the Danish emergency services.

Start with basic patient transport, recruit your first crew, and grow your organisation into an advanced emergency response service. Purchase vehicles, develop hospitals, and watch your 3D city expand as you progress.

Combine active clicking with idle income, choose your next investment, and build the resources needed to handle increasingly demanding calls.

Features

  • Recruit and upgrade personnel, from patient transport crews to specialist teams
  • Unlock ambulances, rapid response vehicles, and medical helicopters
  • Develop your hospital network and manage its capacity
  • Expand a 3D city as your organisation grows
  • Unlock dispatch operations at City Level 20
  • Discover 100 fictional incidents, each with specific vehicle and crew requirements
  • Send patients to suitable hospitals based on location, available services, and your unlocked hospital network
  • Earn resources through active play and idle progression
  • Play in English or Danish

Free Playtest Demo — Feedback Wanted!

Blue Lights is a work in progress, and this playable test build is here to help improve it.

I work in the Danish ambulance service, and I’m developing a game around a world I know and care about. Now I’d love to hear how it feels to people discovering it for the first time.

You don’t need any medical knowledge or experience with emergency services to take part.

Try playing for around 20–30 minutes, then tell me what you think. You don’t need to reach dispatch operations to provide useful feedback—the opening experience matters just as much.

What I’d Love Your Feedback On

  • Getting started: Did you understand what to do and what to buy next?
  • Progression: Did the game move too slowly, too quickly, or at a satisfying pace?
  • Enjoyment: What made you want to keep playing? When did it become repetitive or boring?
  • Clarity: Were any menus, buttons, descriptions, or English terms confusing?
  • Saving: Did your progress return correctly after closing and reopening the game?
  • Bugs: Did anything break, display incorrectly, or behave unexpectedly?

Please leave your feedback in the comments below. A few honest sentences are enough!

For bug reports, include what happened, what you were doing, and your game version. Screenshots and any error messages are especially helpful.

why do game devs seem to think that we all have 100 inch 4k monitors?? The text is so small its impossible to read any of it

Thanks for pointing this out! The issue may now be fixed in the latest version. If you get a chance to try it, please let me know whether it’s better for you. I really appreciate your feedback!
